EU speaks out against fumigations
This is a summary and link to an El Tiempo article (in Spanish) reporting that the European Commission has spoken out in opposition of aerial fumigation of illicit crops in Colombia.
According to this article from El Tiempo, the European Commission has asked the Colombian authorities to cease aerial fumigations in areas of Colombia where alternative methods of illicit crop eradication (e.g. manual removal) are being employed. The Foreign European Commissary said that the Colombian government has committed to excluding such areas from fumigation.
